Sustainable product to prevent frizz
Rulls is a hair cosmetics brand for curly hair, with the need to create vegan, respectful and beneficial products for this type of hair made in Spain.
What do they want?
Rulls would like to offer their customers microfiber towels to dry their hair when they get out of the shower, in a sustainable alternative in line with the brand's values.
Arpe's proposal for Rulls
The client wanted to personalize a microfiber towel, since these are the best option to reduce and avoid frizz. Plus, they wanted the materials, processes and values to align with their own. And our locally made, sustainable microfiber towels with rPET were the perfect choice.
ProductLife cycle of our towels
Microfiber towels are ideal to dry hair in general, and even more if it's curly. The way of drying differs from traditional towels, because they work by capillarity, avoiding frizz. Thus, we knew that these were the ideal product for the brand. All that was left was to choose the size: 50x95cm, a measure already designed for hair.
Rulls wanted the towels digitally printed in their own design, double-sided with his two-ink print (PANTONE 7455 C and 182 C). Thus, our internal design department added the logo and all the necessary information on washing, composition and certificates (which they decided to print on the towel itself instead of on a separate label, a more sustainable option). In addition, they wanted to add the elastic band in PANTONE 2746 C and wrap it in a recycled paperband. And this is how we sent it.
We are sustainable because...
We eco-design, we look for the most optimal sizes for the towels and cut the fabric accordingly, in order to generate the least amount of waste.
We produce and buy locally, in neraby companies at km0, to promote local industry.
We manufacture with fabric made with polyester yarn from post-consumer rPET bottles and print with OEKO-TEX certified inks.
We design and manufacture in our factory in Arenys de Munt that works with solar panels, 100% renewable energy.
