Client
IBM iX is IBM Consulting’s global experience design partner, combining strategy, design and technology to create better products, services and experiences.
-
What did they want?
IBM iX had a very clear idea: to create a sleeve featuring its signature pink, blue and orange gradient that would make the brand instantly recognizable.
Arpe’s Proposal for IBM iX
When we received the brief, we immediately saw that the project had a strong visual dimension. The sleeve needed to work as:
- A practical product for storing an iPad or other belongings.
- A branding element that would reinforce the IBM iX experience.
That is why we worked closely with the IBM iX team to turn their idea into a carefully crafted, functional and fully customized textile product.

Product
From the very beginning, IBM iX knew exactly what it wanted: an 18 × 25 cm sleeve with a distinctive design that reflected its visual identity. Its signature pink, blue and orange gradient turns the sleeve into a functional product that is instantly recognizable. Besides protecting the device, it brings the IBM iX identity into every use.

Design
The IBM iX team sent us their original designs, created using the brand’s distinctive visual style.
At Arpe, we prepared each file to ensure the best possible result:
- We reviewed the design’s contrast and sharpness.
- We adjusted the color profile to achieve accurate reproduction through digital textile printing.
- We optimized the illustration’s most delicate details to reproduce them on the fabric with maximum precision.
This technical work allowed us to create a vibrant, sharp sleeve that remained completely faithful to IBM iX’s visual identity.
Final Product
We are sustainable because...
